Film & Television Safety
GO Vertical provides specialist film and television safety and access support to major film and television productions across the UK, providing terrain access, safety advice and specialist support for cast and crew working in challenging environments.
Work has included collaboration with productions from Warner Bros, Apple TV, BBC, Channel 4 and S4C.
We integrate seamlessly with production teams and adapt to fast-moving filming schedules, regularly working alongside production safety teams, location managers and stunt departments.

Remote Location Filming
GO Vertical provided specialist steep ground safety for cast and crew working on the The Gorge (Apple TV). Our team enabled safe access to a remote beach filming location, designing and rigging a tensioned highline system to move crew, equipment and set materials efficiently between the cliff top and shoreline. The system also formed part of the emergency plan, providing a rapid evacuation option for a casualty if required.

Water Safety — Feature Film
For Anemone, GO Vertical delivered full water safety support for cast and crew across multiple filming locations. Our team provided continuous in-water safety cover and carried out specialist preparation work, including clearing spume from a pool to improve water clarity and achieve higher-quality imagery for filming.

For House of the Dragon (Series 3), GO Vertical provided location advice, steep ground safety for cast and crew, stunt rigging and stunt performer support, alongside specialist construction services. Our team enabled safe and efficient filming in complex terrain while helping production deliver ambitious scenes in challenging environments.

Cliffs, Quarries & Coastal Terrain
Matt Jones featured in the BBC series Weatherman Walking, where he was interviewed about his climbing experience and employed to facilitate an exposed climbing traverse and abseil for presenter Derek Brockway. GO Vertical provided the rope access, rigging and safety support required to film safely in steep coastal terrain.

GO Vertical Director Matt Jones has over 15 years’ experience supporting seismic exploration and military training in remote and desert environments across the Middle East and Africa. Environmental & Access Projects
GO Vertical organised, managed and facilitated the removal of around 80 fly-tipped tyres from sea level on the Great Orme, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Using rope access techniques, our team enabled volunteers to safely reach and remove waste from hazardous coastal terrain, helping protect the environment and improve safety and enjoyment for visitors.

GO Vertical delivers CPD training and specialist skills courses in bolt anchor placement, inspection and maintenance for the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and other professional users. Our training combines current industry guidance with real-world experience to develop confident, competent practitioners working at height and in climbing environments.

GO Vertical facilitated a charity abseil for Ty Gobaith that helped raise over £27,000. Our team supported the event at every stage — from venue liaison, recce and risk assessment to detailed planning, scheduling and full delivery of the abseil event from start to finish, helping the charity create a safe and successful fundraising event.

Public Engagement & Experiences
GO Vertical supported the S4C programme Iaith ar Daith, providing a fully managed abseil adventure for the presenters. Our team planned and delivered the experience safely from concept through to filming, enabling the production to capture an exciting outdoor challenge in a controlled and professional environment.

GO Vertical also delivers bespoke guided adventures for individuals, families and small groups looking to experience climbing and mountain environments safely and confidently. From climbing classic multi-pitch routes and scrambling in Yr Eryri, to gorge walking and abseiling experiences, each day is tailored to the goals and experience of the participants and led by highly qualified instructors in some of the UK’s most inspiring locations.
