Our Story
"I started Go Vertical because I believed there was a better way to work, climb, and operate at height — one built on real experience, sound judgement, and respect for the environments we work in.

Climbing and mountaineering have shaped my life for 40+ years, taking me to challenging places around the world and teaching me lessons that can’t be learned in a classroom. Those experiences built the technical skills, calm decision-making, and safety-first mindset that sit at the core of Go Vertical today.

Founded in 2017 in North Wales, drawing on a background in work at height, location safety, rock climbing, and mountaineering. What began in the mountains has grown into supporting film and TV productions, corporate projects, specialist agencies, and members of the public — all with the same approach: thoughtful planning, clear communication, and professionalism at every level.

I don’t believe safety and adventure are opposites. When done properly, they complement each other. Go Vertical exists to help people and organisations operate confidently, creatively, and safely at height — whether that’s on a film set, a corporate project, or a mountain face."
